Like the moon, marriages have phases

After each heated argument with my husband, I get into derivating to which direction our married life is going. It's been 4 years since I am living with this man, who is my husband; still, I am not able to understand him. OR, he is not able to identify my feelings. I tend to get thoughts like “ He doesn’t listen to me, perhaps he doesn’t love me like before. We don’t talk much now and he is always busy with TV or his phone." But am I losing it really? Is it only me who is feeling that his/her married life is in conflicting stage or any one else also things so?
With best of my inquisition about relationships, I now can say all relationships mature in phases. And right now my married life is also passing through one of its phases. All new age married couples with complex lifestyle are going through such time and I am no different. The first phase of any married life is the romance, passion or honeymoon feel. This can end immediately after marriage or can last as long as a couple of years. If one is sensing those lovey-dovey feelings are fading, the fact of matter is his/her relationship is maturing into the next phase.
I now believe my (or yours also) married life is maturing into the reality or realization phase. Once tolerated habits are now intolerable. Intimacy has no value. Our (husband -wife) focus is over our son instead of each other. We, husband -wife, know that we love each other but expressing it in words now seems an over expectation. I discovered love, by itself, cannot sustain this relationship. Commitment and action must follow love. However, I am little relieved that it's not happening with me only and it's not a bad thing at all. Calm down if you are in this type of spell these days. It’s not gone; it’s transforming into next shape.
As per some research, marriages typically move through a series of at least four stages. 'Romance,Passion' phase, then comes 'Realization' phase, then 'Power Struggles' phase and finally 'Beginning Again' phase. Each stage gives a couple unique learning opportunities and blessings, along with challenges and obstacles. Knowing that marriage has stages helps relieve anxiety and stress during times of trouble. I also feel any marital journey requires openness and flexibility. As the moon goes through phases with time, every married life goes through fronts when couples love and hate each other. They care and ignore each other. They may decide to move on or give a second chance to their relationship. But the key to a happy married life is being supple and re-inventing it again. it’s a spark waiting for couples to give it back its life. With realization, I am learning to be flexible in tough times. I am practicing with my inner self to think as a wife first then as an individual. I am trying my best to give my heart into it. And I am sure some day my better half would recognize that we have found our love back, which is mature but still so pure!

#MyFriendAlexa - Is Your Blog For Everyone?

A Bit of Introduction

Two months back, I joined a new company as a software project manager. And with this, I also shifted to a new city. I could not write much during this shifting time, as there were many other things that needed my attention on priority. With a new job, new city and a new house, I faced challenges of finding a new school for my kid, a new market where I can buy staple items and a new setup for my family which was in habit of living a comfortable life in Delhi. #MyFriendAlexa I took as an opportunity to proffer life back to my blog which was the most neglected entity of my world during this movement and adjustment span. My target is to write 8 posts for #MyFriendAlexa campaign in which 4 will make you a bit more compassionate person, and remaining 4 will make you more informed.

The First Post Of #MyFriendAlexa

Coming back to the title of this post, I know you might be awed to read it. Of course, there is no discrimination who can read the blog and who not. Our blog…

A few questions to Halloween party people of India

Ugly pumpkins, ridiculous costumes and over-the-top makeup, trick or treating for kids and scary themed parties for the adults, the story of Halloween runs deeply in the Western culture. And these days I have been observing a flood of Halloween posts in my social media accounts . "10 ideas to celebrate Halloween with your kids..", "10 craft projects for Halloween..", "10 things to do at Halloween night.." There are parties happening for Halloween. Costumes are getting sold. Myriads of contests are posting spooky pictures and asking to share even more ghostly pictures. And amidst all this, I am puzzled, baffled and tickled.

I don't know if this is the notion of globalization or a modest thought to adopt cultures regardless of the geographical borders. Howbeit, I am sure about one thing that I hate the idea of kids celebrating Halloween here in India.

I have a few questions in my mind that I humbly want to ask those Halloween party people:

Be Healthy With Infused Water And InstaCuppa #SuperBloggerChallenge2018 #Instacuppa

Two things are in my mind mostly these days: Having a healthy Lifestyle and Staying Happy.
Happiness and good health are very much connected to each other, isn't it? If you are happy your health remains good. And if you are healthy, you keep on increasing your happiness. The easiest trick to stay healthy is to have a good water intake every day. However, as simple as it looks, for most of the people, drinking sufficient water every day is a task. They somehow ignore this very essential need of the human body. Every single cell in our body needs water to function properly. The result of less water intake is eventual dehydration, dull face, fatigue, bloating and weak immune system.

Can drinking water help you stay healthy? Spoiler alert, YES IT CAN!

Now, if you are bored of having the plane, tasteless water, then you must know about INFUSED WATER. Infused water is adding different kinds of fruit, vegetables, and herbs to water and letting it settle for some time. This way, all antiox…
