Childhood Love - Part 1

Can anyone fall in love when he/she is only 6-7 years old? I don't have any answer honestly. And i don't think 6 years old kid understands this term "Love" broadly. For this age, love for family is only understandable. Here is a story of love which belongs to two 7 years old kids.

Duggu and Cheenu were best friends and were students of class second. Both of them were so attached to each other that they hardly missed school. They both used to go to school together by school bus. Their chemistry was famous in school. Although they were just kids of 7 years old but they had a pure heart for each other. No selfish feeling at all.  Their bus stops were back to back so first Duggu used to get in the bus and block seat next to him for Cheenu .They were in same section actually. They used to sit in same class seat as well. And because of this both of them were actually matter of laugh for other kids of that class. Its boy and girl sitting together, shame shame!! Other kids of the class had this thinking somehow that its a bad thing to sit with opposite sex kid. No big deal, Duggu and Cheenu were not mature enough to buy this logic. They just wanted to be with each other all the time.

Duggu was a brilliant boy and was very good in Math's. Please mind it, here Math's means complex addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. They were in class second only!! Cheenu was an ideal girl child good in singing, dancing and art. But Math's was like a horrible dream for her. She used to copy Math's sum from Duggu's notebook and this was how she used to get her class work done. Home work was his mother's headache and she used to pray for maths class getting over quickly. As always one day she copied addition sum from Duggu's notebook and went to teacher for getting it checked. Duggu had already got his work checked so she was sure about answers of her notebook. As teacher saw her notebook, he gave her a slap. She was clueless thinking all of the answers she copied from Duggu's notebook were correct then why she got this!! Duggu was also shocked and actually sad. Her best friend was insulted in front of whole class. In the mean time teacher told Cheenu why she got a slap. She always copied answers from Duggu's notebook and that teacher always noticed it. But to copy anything correctly it take some use of mind so he always let Cheenu go for using her mind in copying things correctly. But that day she did a mistake in copying as well. So practically her addition sum was wrong. Poor Cheenu , first time she realized that life is more than playing with Duggu .She realized that she badly needed to learn everything of which she was dependent upon Duggu . On the other hand Duggu had a guilt. Guilt of making Cheenu wintry. Although he was just a kid still he thought and admitted his mistake. He should have told cheenu to learn addition instead of letting her copy from his notebook.

Some how day passed. Next day Cheenu didn't came at bus stop. Duggu got heavyhearted again not seeing his best friend. He reached school and joined morning prayer. After returning from assembly, he noticed Cheenu was sitting at some other place not with him. He couldn't get time to ask anything to Cheenu as the first period started. Entire period went heavy for Duggu. He was looking at Cheenu when teacher was facing the board. Clever boy he was !.Cheenu was silent and not noticing him. This made duggu restless. As first period got over, he immediately went to Cheenu and asked why she was not sitting with him. Cheenu's reply actually hurt him badly. She said she didn't want to get beaten again by sitting with him. He got upset with Cheenu. He thought to let Cheenu do what she wanted to do.  Few days passed like that. Cheenu was not talking to Duggu and Duggu didn't try to talk to her either. But soon he realized Cheenu was not looking happy. His smiling and talk-active friend had suddenly become mum. Poor kid couldn't think of any way to make her happy again. One day during a class he wrote something on a chit and threw it towards Cheenu. Cheenu simply ignored it. He again wrote some thing and threw that towards Cheenu. This time Cheenu picked that up. She opened it and after reading it she just threw it outside the window. One of the window of her class was near to her seat. Duggu was a fighter kid. He did the same thing again and this time girl sitting with Cheenu picked up the chit. She read whatever was written and said something in Cheenu ear. With offended face Cheenu read what was written.
It was " Duggu love Cheenu" !!

My 'Invisible' Accomplishments #DecadeHop #RRxMM

As we entered 2020, through this post I am trying to contemplate the coolest, most daring, and most significant feats of my life during the last decade. Now the more I regress my memory, the more I feel there are two types of achievements or accomplishments that I can ponder upon; Visible and Invisible. Visible ones are those that I can count on my finger like a parrot and others can nod also. I got specs on, married to a not-so-romantic man, produced a baby, started writing and added good 17 kgs in my body volume (I was 50 in 2011). However, there are many invisible accomplishments too that either I know silently or very few can assert.

From 2011 to 2019, Who am I now

From a coy soul to now an outspoken woman, the trek was not easy. I achieved it. From being a no-makeup girl to now a lipstick swatches observer, the transition was tough. But it happened. And from being a sweet hater to now a sweet lover, the change was mysterious yet occurred. And now I can die for Gulab Jamuns. And I…

#TheWomanThatIAm #RRxMM I am not the woman who..

I am not the mother who..
I am not the mother who stayed longer with her newborn, I resumed office when he was barely 2 months old. I am not the mother who witnessed each of my kid's milestones, I got to know them when being told. I am not the mother who could tell breastfeeding stories, my child is a formula-fed gold. I am not the mother who keeps the house spotless, I let my son scatter toys and go overbold. I am not the mother who manages a detailed list for parenting chores, I often keep my to-dos on hold. I am not the mother whom people admire, I hear people calling me selfish and cold.
ALSO I am a doting mother who tries to juggle between family and work every other minute.  I am a mother who watches silly cartoons with my boy.  I am a mother who repeatedly tells the same story every night.  I am a mother who cooks my son's favorite food every week.  And I am also a mother who is the closest person in my son's life!
I am not the wife who..
I am not the wife who has her biological…

#MyFriendAlexa - Is Your Blog For Everyone?

A Bit of Introduction

Two months back, I joined a new company as a software project manager. And with this, I also shifted to a new city. I could not write much during this shifting time, as there were many other things that needed my attention on priority. With a new job, new city and a new house, I faced challenges of finding a new school for my kid, a new market where I can buy staple items and a new setup for my family which was in habit of living a comfortable life in Delhi. #MyFriendAlexa I took as an opportunity to proffer life back to my blog which was the most neglected entity of my world during this movement and adjustment span. My target is to write 8 posts for #MyFriendAlexa campaign in which 4 will make you a bit more compassionate person, and remaining 4 will make you more informed.

The First Post Of #MyFriendAlexa

Coming back to the title of this post, I know you might be awed to read it. Of course, there is no discrimination who can read the blog and who not. Our blog…
