How do I look in this ?

"How do I look in this dress?" This is one such question every husband fear about. So this post is for all husbands including mine.
Wives show new outfit/dress to their husbands and ask this very basic question. For husbands it's no less than deciding whether Indian should give Kashmir or not, complex and hard to be true. But I feel, not every-time wives want to know if that moment they are looking good or not. They might be anticipating more than the usual reply "looking good". Here are some of the thoughts which can change your answers as a husband when next time your wife asks this question "How do I look in this"?
1. Dear husband, do you notice my efforts everyday: If your wife is asking how she is looking in any outfit, she wants you to notice how much efforts she is putting in looking attractive. Who can be the best person to assure her that she is looking good and looks good always? Only you. She needs little appreciation and positive commenting. So next time, when she wears even years old outfit/saaree/dress, ask "Is that a new dress dear?" and see the magic.
2. Dear husband, do you love me irrespective of my looks: Some time wives, who are mothers also, need validation that they look good even with extra kilos and stretch marks. Especially when husbands are on same weight numbers since last many years. And only husbands can reassure their wives that they look even more beautiful by complimenting them often and showing affection freely.
3. Dear husband, I need a little attention from you: If a wife asks how she looks, she's not just looking for a compliment. She might be giving a hint that she needs a bit more of love and attention from her husband. You can give her attention in the ways she likes most, which might include a gift, a special note, a date or anything which she admires.
4. Dear husband, I want to know if I look attractive, an honest answer: The most excellent way to answer the question, "How do I look?" is by giving a true compliment to your wife. But with some sugar coating. Even if you don't like her in that specific outfit, append a compliment line with that true reply. You can try saying "I like the color" or "You always look beautiful, forget the dress" or "today wear what I'm suggesting". Women like to feel attractive all the time and it's their basic nature. So if it's not in your nature to give compliments regularly, please start practicing now.
So husbands don't be scared the next time your wife asks how she looks. She needs a little compliment but lots of love from you. Outfit is only a way of asking "How much you love me?". And you must answer this, if not in words then with gestures and facial expression. One honest piece of advice, please don't ever say “Not good" or "Bad" or "Worst". You might be hurting her unintentionally.
It's my anniversary tomorrow and I'm dedicating this blog to my dear husband. We are completing 4 years of our married life and he's the best wedding gift (Keemti Saman) my parents gave me :)

My Monsoon Love Hate Love Story

Last year, almost the same time, I packed every belonging of mine and landed to a place which is close to my heart. With bag and baggage, my family moved from Delhi to Lucknow. It was monsoon time when I came here and thank god I witnessed a prosperous rain. Lucknow, though smaller compared to Delhi, is a place I distinguish since childhood. The city of Nawabs is believed as the happiest city in India. As our move was well calculated, my husband and I made sure to have all those things in our lives that I missed being in Delhi. A bigger house (that we can afford), green surroundings, street food access that we missed in Delhi and people who talk in our native tongue.

The Hate Story

I hated the rain when I was in Delhi. My house was in a busy lane of a crowded Delhi locality, and I was living on the second floor of the building. Hence neither I had easy access to the road, nor to terrace. When it rained, I was forced to stay inside. Roads used to get sunk even after the rain of half an…

The Utopian World Of Smart Devices

I would like to start this post with telling readers my profession. I am a software professional who has a decade of experience in technology and software development. In those 10 years, I have very closely seen how technology has evolved. Of course, the first urge was the necessity that let every invention happen. And then technology got advanced to make the user experience better and further sound. In the chain of making every sort of experience pleasanter for users, the era of smart devices came. We all remember the time when smartphones came into the market. Before that, we had those dial phones and keypad mobiles. We were able to talk to the other party. But the progression of technology made it real to actually see with whom we talk. We still talk through phones but with added feel and warmth.

The Utopian World Of Smart Devices

Not only smartphones, but there has been an exponential increase in the number of smart devices around us in the last 5 years. When I first heard the ter…

Food Habits That I Am Going To Change This Year

This post is for New Year resolutions blog train. The blog train is hosted by Vartika, Alpana and Prerna,  sponsored by Pandora's Box and Recipe Dabba. My topic is Dr Feelgood - How are you planning to tweak your Food Habits for 2019 .

We all desire to stay healthy and happy. Yes, happiness is very much connected to our health. But today's sedentary lifestyle has made us fall for quick meals and unhealthy choices. Over the course of time, these quick things give us side effects that rather don't go quick. Eventually, we fall prey to weight loss industry which asks for cutting sugar, salt, oils, carbs, dairy product and almost everything which is there in our kitchens since our grandparents time. We run after different diets (Ketogenic diet, Vegan diet, Raw food diet etc) and we even believe in schemes like having dinner before sunset, getting rid of rice, keeping a distance with fruits and avoiding any type of fat.

Is this way of keeping ourselves fit sustainable in the …
